Due to the relocation of one of our current partners, we are seeking a GP (5 – 8 sessions) to join our team. We are strong supporters of the partnership model but would be prepared to consider a salaried post with a view to partnership at a later date.
Charlotte Medical Practice is based in the South West Scotland market town of Dumfries. Benefitting from excellent purpose-built Health Board-owned premises, opened in 2012, we provide comprehensive care for our 9,500 patients from a mixed urban and rural demographic. We are a congenial, highly supportive, and family-friendly practice. We believe in the value of continuity of care, an equal division of workload, and good communication; we have weekly business meetings and meet daily over coffee.
We are 7 GP partners, supported by 2 Advanced Nurse Practitioners and 2 General Practice Nurses. We have a strong management team supported by a capable administration team. Our wider team includes Board employed Health Care Assistants, a General Practice Pharmacy team, General Practice Mental Health nurses, and a First Contact Physiotherapist. Attached Community Nurses and Health Visitors are based on-site. We participate in teaching Aberdeen Medical Students.
The practice enjoys a good working relationship with colleagues across NHS Dumfries and Galloway, including those at nearby Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary, the Health Board, and neighbouring Cluster practices.

No Out of Hours practice commitments but local opportunities exist
