Non-urgent advice: About Us

Charlotte Medical Practice has served as a general practice surgery since the 1880’s. It was originally known as the Charlotte Street Surgery and was based at 1 Charlotte Street in the town centre. Following a fire at the surgery in January 2006 it was relocated to a temporary site at Nithbank. In November 2012 we relocated to the new purpose built Primary Care Centre at Lochfield Road, and renamed ourselves Charlotte Medical Practice.

111 is the NHS non-emergency number. It’s fast, easy and free. Call 111 and speak to a highly trained adviser, supported by healthcare professionals. They will ask you a series of questions to assess your symptoms and immediately direct you to the best medical care for you.

NHS 111 is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Calls are free from landlines and mobile phones.
